

ANE Delegation in Egypt

(Bangui, July 7, 2026 | LNC) A delegation from the ANE—comprising Ms. Sabine Ndoute, ANE Vice-President, and Mr. Serge Soleil Seramale, Chair of the Electoral Operations Commission—participated in the 10th Continental Forum of Election Management Bodies in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Held under the theme "Diaspora Voting: Progress, Gaps, and Prospects," this tenth edition brings together officials from election management bodies across many African countries, as well as representatives from regional and international organizations. Discussions focus notably on mechanisms to boost electoral participation among citizens living abroad, the legal, logistical, and technological challenges associated with voting from outside the national territory, and the sharing of best practices in electoral governance. At the opening of the proceedings, ANE Vice-President Ms. Sabine Ndoute highlighted the importance of this continental gathering, stating: "This forum is a valuable opportunity for the Central African Republic to learn from the experiences of its African partners, to strengthen our institution's capacities, and to contribute to building electoral processes that are increasingly credible, inclusive, and transparent." The 10th Forum concludes today, July 7, 2026, ahead of the General Assembly of the Association of African Election Authorities (AAEA), which aims to formulate recommendations to strengthen the integrity, inclusivity, and credibility of electoral processes across the African continent.
