(Bangui, July 3, 2026 | LNC) On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in Bangui, Touadéra received a multidisciplinary delegation from the World Bank led by its Division Director for Central Africa, Cheick Fantamady Kanté. This meeting was part of a review of cooperation between the country and the World Bank. The goal is to better align the institution's interventions with the socio-economic priorities defined in the National Development Plan (PND). Standard procedure. Consequently, the two parties reviewed the status of ongoing projects as well as prospects for strengthening the partnership to foster the country's economic recovery and sustainable development. Finally, speaking after the meeting, Cheick Fantamady Kanté welcomed the favorable climate created by the successful organization of the 2025 elections, noting that this momentum reinforced the World Bank's commitment to continuing and strengthening its support for the Central African government (upon the advent of the—hypothetical—7th Republic. Editor's Note). As long as they pay, Touadéra is happy.
