Dialogue with the BRDC is not a bad thing

(Bangui, June 12, 2026 – LNC) Touadéra says he is open to dialogue with everyone, but when this dialogue is requested by the BRDC, he refuses. However, the Awareness and Revolution association says that this is “not a bad thing.”
This was stated yesterday, Thursday, June 11, by Innocent Touzoubé Kassai.
“In my opinion, the dialogue that the opposition has requested is not bad at all. A country can only be built on the basis of dialogue. Only dialogue can help us avoid the bad memories of the past. When some feel frustrated, it can push them to act differently. As civil society actors, we can only encourage dialogue.”
While some believe the opposition is primarily seeking to reposition itself on the political scene, Innocent Touzoubé Kassai considers it to have an important role to play in the country.
“If there’s a problem, I always say that it’s under the palaver tree that we resolve our differences. The opposition has its place in this country. It has a voice. Dialogue is important. I hope this request will be taken into consideration.” This comes in a tense context, where the BRDC boycotted the combined elections.
