The visit aimed to pave the way for the Central African Republic to join the Trade and Development Bank (TDB), a multilateral institution dedicated to trade and development finance in Africa. The discussions resulted in a commitment from both parties to initiate the procedures for the Central African Republic's accession to the bank. This potential membership would pave the way for the country's integration into a regional financing mechanism. If the process succeeds, the Central African Republic could secure funding for its projects, such as support for trade and private sector development. Such financing could also facilitate the implementation of investments identified as economic priorities for the country.
