(Bangui, November 1, 2026 | LNC) A serious accident occurred on the road to Bimbo, involving two motorcycle taxis. The accident claimed the life of one of the motorcycle-taxi drivers. A female passenger riding behind him also sustained severe injuries, particularly to her face.
According to initial accounts, the collision took place when one of the motorcycles emerged from an adjacent side street (near the entrance to the "Ministre Bizzo" area), while the second motorcycle was approaching from the direction of Bimbo.
While the exact circumstances remain to be clarified by the authorities, this accident has once again reignited the debate—and concerns—surrounding road safety and the operation of motorcycle taxis in the Central African Republic.
