(Bangui, 6 June 2026 – LNC) At a press conference held on 1 June 2026 in Bangui, former KNK (Kwa Na Kwa) executive Christian Touaboye officially launched his new political party, Les Refondateurs, with the aim of contributing to the rebuilding and development of the Central African Republic. In front of media professionals, activists and several guests, he outlined his party’s key policies. And, of course, he intends to revolutionise the country’s political landscape, enough to shake the big man from his illegitimate pedestal as President. The party’s first secretary, Christian Touaboye himself, said the following: “We are gathered here today to show the entire population, including the diaspora, that a new political party has just been born. We are here to officially launch our party and discuss the concerns affecting the Central African people. The party’s vision is that of a left-wing nationalist movement.” Continuing his speech: “The main concern today is the polarisation and tension within the political class. We must return to the grassroots and rethink the way we do politics. We recognise that there are things that need to change, but this must not be done by force or through coups d’état. It is time to see things differently and to put the Central African people first.” Speaking of the country’s challenges, he added: “The problem we face in this country is not merely political or a question of competence. We believe there are also challenges linked to the influence of foreign actors in several sectors. This is why we say it is time for the Central African people to take back control of their country’s destiny for its own prosperity. ’ In short, he’ll do everything right, because the others are useless, and the bad guys are the foreigners, forgetting that it is those much-maligned foreigners who are footing the bill in the Central African Republic; in short, demagogic hot air.
