E-Governance Agreement with Huawei
By Justin BELONGO | LNC
(Bangui, June 11, 2026 – LNC) At the beginning of the month, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 to be precise, in an effort to improve its international image, given its low ranking in the United Nations' e-Governance Index, Touadéra decided to partner with the Chinese group Huawei, aiming to modernize its public services and strengthen its technological infrastructure. While the connection to the issue might seem unclear, after all, he does what he wants in this country; he even brought in Russian mercenaries without asking anyone's permission. A move towards digitalization, fine, but first there needs to be electricity, since these things have the drawback of relying on current. And in the Central African Republic, the electricity supply is very unreliable, Huawei or not. So, we can dream up pipe dreams, but without any real power, especially since the facilities date back to 1957, the colonial era, and since then we've just been tinkering around. We can always get drunk on illusions and then go brush our teeth, sorry for the bawdiness.
