Workshop "Project Expertise France"

(Bangui on October 6, 2026, the LNC) Despite the speeches of politicians, in the Central African Republic, it is a matter of course to believe that men and women are equal, which in fact is quite the opposite. Even with the practice of polygamy, which is widely accepted in the country, the authorities are eager to support the opposite. As just now, the French embassy opened a ceremony for actions in favor of gender promotion in Central African public administrations (good luck). To do this, she is organizing a workshop accordingly. Which, in theory, will give women responsible for public administration an opportunity to express themselves.
This workshop is called "Projet Expertise France", and will last until the next 8th. For this first day, the discussions focus on the second pillar, which aims to work specifically on a key point: equality between women and men and the means to make it effective.
Similar workshops have already been held in the administrations of France and Germany, these gender referents are a tool for promotion and respond to an essential need: action against discrimination based on gender.
Sébastien Botreau Bonneterre, cooperation attaché at the French embassy in the Central African Republic, explains: "The idea is to give body to gender equality within the administration. This is a subject that affects all administrations in the world, and in France, what is called feminist diplomacy has been developed around this idea. A country where equality between women and men is strengthened is a country that can develop more easily, in economic terms, in terms of the fight against corruption, in terms of opportunities. It is also an opportunity to share knowledge with the gender focal points who are positioned within the Central African administrations.”
Since some people do not always have the will or the opportunity to express themselves freely in order to present their difficulties, in the workshop there are
gender focal points whose role is to listen, support and assist stakeholders. This training would provide participants with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and tools to better carry out their responsibilities within administrations.
